Hey all you RGNers! While you all have been vacationing in the tropics or riding around in circles on lakes, I've been busting my butt out in the snow chopping down trees for the sake of your riding pleasure. Any of you who came last Labor Day got a taste of what I have. I now have nearly 6 miles of mostly tight singletrack. I should be able to finish a bit more soon. I will be opening it up to the general public on selected days. If you would like to come out, give me a call at 608-776-2383 and I'll probably be able to open it up. My schedule is very flexible. I'll announce here and try to send out an e-mail spam when it is open. I am about 140 minutes from Milwaukee, an hour from Madison, near Mineral Point. Make the trip. The trails need traffic to keep Mother Nature from reclaiming them!

Sounds like a great opportunity!
How tight are the trails? I have a very novice 9 year old on a 65 that I'd love to bring, but don't want it to be a bad experience if its to technical. |

Most of the trails are very technical with tight turns, steep hills and trees. There are a number of intimidating but easy log crossings. But, there is an area that is flat with wide trails through tall grass for practicing. There is also a way around which skips the difficult stuff. I took my very novice and timid ten year old around the easy route on his KLX110 and he did it with minimal trouble. There is also a fairly easy MX sort of loop with a couple small jumps, steep climbs and tight turns but without the trees that the trails have. I think my son would like to have someone to ride with. Kids and dogs are always welcome. Just let me know when you'd like to come and I'll probably be able to arrange it. If one is coming, all are invited. I sometimes don't get on the net for over a week so calling is the best way to reach me. 608-776-2383
Please wash bikes before and after riding to minimize spread of invasive plants. _________________ docmatt |

This sounds awsome! I love to help clear trail almost as much as riding, so count me in when it dries out.

Carl (and all),
Give me a call, my schedule is quite flexible. There is a woods section I roughed out over the winter, but still need to cut the stumps. _________________ docmatt |

Brett: I got your message but your number was garbled. I've been riding in the U.P. call again. _________________ docmatt |

Last year was a modest success so I will try it again. The Revival 2010 will be Friday -Monday of Labor Day weekend. Come and go as you please. Free camping, water, bathroom, grill with charcoal. I'll get some better beer this year and some soda. The trails are much improved. Don't forget the roads are great for riding here too. I'll have an easy trail loop for kids and the timid too. Kids, dogs, guns, friends are welcome.
